24 hours of Fun

Andrew had a 24 hour overnight in L.A. so our wonderful grandparents watched the kids and i hopped on Andrew's flight from Denver to Aspen and then Aspen to L.A. It was so fun to have him fly me across the country and we had a blast on our 24 hour vacation! : )

First things first.... Mmmmmm

We were pretty happy with our bright BLUE rental car- they upgraded us from economy to standard plus we never had trouble finding it in a parking lot! woohoo

We had such a great time at the beach. It was especially fun to rent this tandem bike -we had a blast. Andrew was very brave to let me sit in front and steer for about 5 min.! i was a pretty dangerous driver.
Our wonderful Californian friends recommended this fabulous little fish restaurant that was right on the coast.

We made it to point dume in time to enjoy the last bit of sunset.

On our way to the airport to send me back home we took another little walk on the beach. We had great weather the whole time!

Will and Andrew's Backyard camping=cutest thing Ever!

We've been wanting to go camping with Will for awhile now but we thought it might be best to try it out in the backyard first. Will was so excited he could hardly contain himself! it was great.

After i took this picture, Will immediately opened the door zipper for me and said, "well, mom, goodnight!" He made it very clear that it was a guys only camp out. (although, i must add that in the morning he ran up to me, gave me hug like he hadn't seen me in days and said, "i missed you mom!" !! :) haha

Belated Father's Day picnic

This year Andrew was flying on Father's Day so last week we had a special "father's day" of our own. We all love him very much and wanted to make sure he knew we think he's the best!

This was Andrew's 3rd Father's Day and he's Dad to 3 kiddos! Woohoo

party and a rodeo

Will and his Nana have a yearly tradition of attending the Greeley Stampede rodeo. Will has been looking forward to it all year- especially because this year he had an authentic vest (given by grandma and grandpa!) and cowboy boots (given by his aunties and uncle!)

The day of the rodeo he was determined to NOT take a nap so instead he got dressed for the rodeo early and then sat outside to wait for Nana to pick him up. Here he is calling Nana to find out exactly how long he had to wait.

"Can you come to my house really soon??"

"Nana said she's getting ready and will be here in awhile..."

To help pass the time i took him on a little photo shoot.

Are these just too cute, or what??!!

"Woohoo! she's here, see ya mom!"

We had a great time celebrating Nana's birthday on her patio. Will, as you can see, could not keep his eyes off that coconut cake!

Our good friends the Phipps came to celebrate too!
