Catching up....

Will is super excited about Christmas this year. Last week he made a gingerbread house with Nana and afterward when he was showing it to us he remarked that he'd like to eat the gumdrops that had fallen off. then he asked in a real concerned voice "do gumdrops have sugar in them?" oh no, of course they don't.
Sophie and Madeline are nearly 9 months old. They both love crawling and laughing. Madeline is always on the go and is also our own little vacuum so we're always pulling foreign objects out of her mouth. Sophie loves to smile and pose for pictures. They both adore their big brother who also loves to play and make them smile!

Our sweet little indian....

And his crazy daddy...

We're very happy in this picture because our new camera just came in the mail! yeah for more pictures!

Can you see the resemblance?

We haven't taken any pictures recently because our camera is broken so i thought i'd post a few old ones of Will and some the girls at the same age....do you see any resemblance between the baby pictures?

Here's Sophie and Madeline at about 7 months

Here's a close up of Madeline and one of Sophie on bottom

And here's one of chubby little Will when he was about 7 months.......

And here is Will in all his adorable 3 yr old cuteness (btw- the blue blob on his tummy is a banana sticker that reads "Simply Perfect"). So true. =)

Now, if for some reason you weren't able to see any resemblance, the 2 pictures below are proof of some relation:

Cailan comes for a visit!

The three of us got to spend some much-needed girl time together- shopping, eating, talking and laughing! Thank you Andrew and Josh for watching the kids!

Here's the most adorable pregnant lady with TWINS in the whole world... for those of you who haven't heard, she is expecting a boy and girl early January! Hooray for twins!!

On one of the evenings of her visit, the extended shmidts came over and gave Cailan a mini shower of cute and wonderful clothes for the babies!

End of Summer fun

Our BIG family "hike" and picnic in the Poudre Canyon
After the hour long drive to even get to the edge of the mountains (foothills, really!) we decided to stop at the first picnic spot we found, which happened to be only about a mile into the canyon! It turned out to be just the right amount of mountain exposure that our little kiddos needed!

Will loved "hiking" along the river and throwing rocks into the water.
Will and Sophie after our picnic by the river

Mommy and Will and Will's ALL time favorite lunch item: PB&J

Sophie and Madeline

Any guesses as to what Will's head dress is made out of?? A hint is in the background of the picture below!
This is a delicious dinner that Daddy and Will made all by themselves!! woohoo!
Our little cowboy is always on the lookout for bad guys or bears in our backyard-both of which are in high supply.

Here the girls had their first taste of rice cereal
Madeline took to it right away
And Sophie preferred smiling for the camera

Will insisted that I tie up his hair with his towel "just like Mommy's"
